

I have the Acer AL1916W connected to my macbook pro. It must be some other problem than the monitor. I just turn the thing off and on and keep on working.

I had thought that by unplugging everything and replugging it, something "magic" happened and was fixed. When I plugged my LCD Acer back in, it seemed to be working correctly. Some days this happens every hour and then goes 3-4 days. I have a Dell CPU/tower, Keyboard and mouse with an Acer AL1916 Monitor. The Acer techies tell me that they are unaware of the numerous posted complaints about this. Calls to Acer tech support have not been helpful so far. I have not yet been able to establish a predictable pattern. Problem may reoccur after several days or weeks. Turning off the power for approximately 15-20 minutes seems to "fix" the problem, but does not seem to be permanent fix. The monitors are great when they work properly. I have had similar problems with Acer AL2423W and Acer X241W monitors.
